Your Safari guide will pick you up at 07:00am and head to Kibale national park with a lunch stop in fort portal city. Later proceed to explore the Kibale crater lakes. You will go up to the top of the world. This is one of the spectacular scenery in this area where a cluster of craters lakes were formed due to volcanicity, many years ago.

Dinner and overnight at chimpanzee lodge or Isunga lodge.

After breakfast you will head for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park. Enjoy watching the chimps plus more primates which live in this forest, like the grey-cheeked mangabey, olive baboons, L’Hoest monkey and red colobus alongside the black and white colobus. After the trek head back to the lodge for lunch and an evening Bigodi swamp walk. In the swamp walk you will spot many bird species, primates and also get close to the local communities, and see how they live.

After breakfast, you will hit the road to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you through beautiful African villages. The park lies at the foothills of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon.” Check in at Buffalo Safari lodge, Irungu Lodge, Tembo or pumba cottages. After lunch, you will undertake an evening game drive to search for buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes, and elephants along the way as you drive slowly to visit the Lake Katwe town with its gorgeous exhibit of crater lakes. You will have a chance to see the flamingos at this lake depending on the time of year since they are migratory species.

Return back to the lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Rise up early, take breakfast and then head for a game drive at the Kasenyi plains. your Safari guide will help to look out for Lions, leopards, bushbucks, Uganda Kobs, topis, Defassa waterbucks, and Cape buffaloes elephants, to mention but a few. Head back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which joins George and Lake Edward. You will have a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, giant Forest hogs, among others. . A collection of birds like Cassin’s grey flycatcher, broad billed roller, and black bee-eater along the banks of Lake Edward can be seen. Return to your lodge.

Drive to Ishasha area in search for tree-climbing lions. You will then continue to Bwindi Gorilla Park a worldwide recognized habitat for the mountain gorillas.

Sleep at enganzi, bakiga lodge, ichumbi lodge or broadbill lodge.

Rise early for a morning breakfast so that you energize before heading out to the jungle for a strenuous gorilla trekking activity by 0800hrs. You will trek through the huge Bwindi impenetrable forest in search for the mountain gorillas to observe their behavior, this can be half-day or longer. A packed lunch is recommended. You will spend an hour with the Gorillas as you observe and take photos. After your gorilla tracking drive to Lake Bunyonyi where you will enjoy a canoe ride or a boat cruise to explore the different islands of Lake Bunyonyi. Cruise to Punishment Island where Bakiga girls who became pregnant before marriage would be taken and left to die. Other islands of Lake Bunyonyi include the upside island, Akampene, Bushara, and Bucuraniko among others.

Dinner and overnight at rock resort or Acadia cottages.

After a relaxed breakfast you will be transferred to Entebbe airport so that you catch up with your evening flight. A lunch stop will be had at the kayabwe equator line.

We keep our group sizes low so that you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 15 travelers on a trip but the average is 10.

Travelers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for an air quote when making your booking.

To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits for most of our tours. Also, travellers with pre-existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire. Our Family Adventures are open to families with children aged between 5 and 17 years of age. Our standard (non-family) adventures are open to children aged 12 years or older when accompanied by a parent (max. two children per adult). The two-children-per-adult restriction does not apply to our Family adventures.
