You will be picked by our safari guide from your hotel to enjoy a city tour around Kigali city. Visit the Kigali genocide memorial, conventional center, Ntarama Catholic Church where approximately 5000 people were killed in the genocide. There after check out from your hotel and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda.

Check in Bird nest or Bunyonyi rock resort spending the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight

Enjoy a Morning boat cruise to explore the different islands of Lake Bunyonyi as you spot some resident and migratory bird species. You will have ample time to visit the Upside island, punishment island where Bakiga girls who became pregnant before marriage were taken and left to die. Other islands of Lake Bunyonyi include Akampene, Bushara, and Bucuraniko among others. In the afternoon have lunch at your lodge and thereafter proceed with your safari to Bwindi Gorilla Park.

Check in at Agandi lodge, Buhoma lodge, Buhoma community rest camp or Bakiga lodge. Dinner and overnight

Have an early morning breakfast before heading out to the briefing point where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while trekking the gorillas. You will trek through the huge Bwindi forest as you search for the mountain Gorillas with the help of a ranger guide. The trek can take 2 hours, half a day or longer depending on the movements of the mountain Gorilla. A packed lunch box is recommended on this adventurous trail, and once you spot the gorillas you will be allowed 1 hour of photography. This will be one of the exciting moments one can ever imagine. After the Gorilla trekking experience, you continue with the safari to Ishasha tree climbing lions.

Check in at Jungle lodge, ishasha wilderness or Enjojo safari lodge. Dinner and overnight

Ishasha area offers a 60% chance of spotting lions resting in the fig trees. After your morning breakfast, enjoy an adventure to search for the tree climbing lion. Sighting these lions will be spectacular.

Continue to the north of Queen Elizabeth Park and check in at Bush lodge, Tembo safari lodge or Park view safari lodge. Lunch and boat trip along the Kazinga channel with a chance of spotting the elephants, hippos, crocodile and beautiful bird life.

Have your early morning breakfast at your lodge and then get transferred to kyambura gorge for the chimpanzee trekking adventure. This activity is entirely guided by an armed ranger guide who is experienced and he will walk you through the jungle in search for the chimpanzees. Hearing the vocalization of these chimps will aid the ranger guide to locate them, and once they are spotted, you will have 1 full hour to observe them as they display their traits before you. Return to your lodge to relax and have lunch. An evening game drive in the kasenyi plain will be undertaken to search for the big four animals.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Drive to Lake Mburo national park. Arrive in the afternoon to check in at your lodge, have lunch and then prepare for an afternoon game drive. Expect to see impalas, the gigantic elands, zebras, topi, bushbucks, kobs, cape buffaloes, giraffes; leopards can also rarely be spotted, among others. Return for dinner and overnight at Acadia cottages, hyena hill or eagles nest. You may undertake a night game drive but at an extra cost if requested for.

Lake Mburo is a home of 350 species of birds and some of these can be spotted on the morning walk. You will also view some animals close by. Head back to the lodge for your breakfast and then check out and proceed with your journey to the airport to catch up with your flight. A stopover will be made at kayabwe Equator line for photography and lunch. Arrive in Entebbe late in the evening and you will be dropped off at the airport or at your pre-booked accommodation in Entebbe.

We keep our group sizes low so that you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 15 travelers on a trip but the average is 10.

Travelers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for an air quote when making your booking.

To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits for most of our tours. Also, travellers with pre-existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire. Our Family Adventures are open to families with children aged between 5 and 17 years of age. Our standard (non-family) adventures are open to children aged 12 years or older when accompanied by a parent (max. two children per adult). The two-children-per-adult restriction does not apply to our Family adventures.
