Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park

This safari will take you to 2 national parks in Uganda for an adventure of a variety of unique game including the zebras and the big 4, plus amazing boat trips for a prolific bird life experience.

After your breakfast, you will start off your journey from Kampala towards the western Uganda where Queen Elizabeth Park lies. You will stop in Fort portal city for lunch, and then head to Queen Elizabeth Park. Check in at Tembo safari lodge, bush lodge or buffalo safari lodge. Embark on a short evening game drive and also catch the sundowner from the Savannahs of this park.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge

After your breakfast you will undertake a morning game drive to look out for the big four which are present and they include the lion, leopard, elephant and the buffalo (rhino is absent). This Park is set against a backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains and indeed this gives stunning sceneries which are worth seeing. You will also have a chance to view some crater lakes during this game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and leisure. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel between Lake Edward and George, you will view great numbers of hippos, elephants , buffaloes quenching off their thirst and a stupendous bird life with over 550 resident species. After your boat trip, head back to your lodge to relax.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge

After your morning breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Check in at your lodge and relax. An evening game drive will be undertaken with expectations of spotting impalas, the gigantic elands, zebras, topis, bushbucks, kobs, cape buffaloes, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, among others.

Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight at Rwakobo rock, kigambira safari lodge, eagle’s nest or hyena hill.

Have a morning breakfast and head out for a nature walk in the Park with an escort of an armed game ranger guided who will walk and guide you in this activity. The nature walk will reward you with the best sights of birds, plant species, insects and animals at a close view. A stopover will be made at kayabwe equator line on your way back to have lunch and for photography.

Arrive in Kampala late in the evening and get dropped off at a pre booked lodge in Entebbe or Kampala.

This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 15 travelers on a trip but the average is 10.

Travelers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for an air quote when making your booking.

To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits for most of our tours. Also, travellers with pre-existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire. Our Family Adventures are open to families with children aged between 5 and 17 years of age. Our standard (non-family) adventures are open to children aged 12 years or older when accompanied by a parent (max. two children per adult). The two-children-per-adult restriction does not apply to our Family adventures.
