LAKE MBURO WILDERNESSES

Enjoy an African safari in this smallest game park in Uganda. The best scenery and wonderful gem can be spotted in the lush Mburo. Lots of fun activities include biking, horseback riding, and night game drives.

Lake Mburo National park

After your morning breakfast, you will be picked up by our safari guide and head to Lake Mburo National park located in the western part of Uganda. You will have a stopover at the Equator which is a must see safari attraction in Uganda, to relax, have a coffee, have some fun games and photography. Check in at Mihingo lodge, Rwakobo rock, Eagles nest for lunch, swim at your lodge and later in the evening enjoy the best scenery for the sun set.

Enjoy dinner and overnight.

After your morning coffee, head out for a game drive to explore the beautiful Mburo. On this game drive, expect to see lots of zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, topis, water bucks, elands, warthogs, leopard etc. You will return for lunch at your lodge. Relax and after lunch embark on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Expect to view Hippos, crocodiles, fish eagles and King Fishers plus lots of different bird species.

Head back to your lodge to relax, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, dedicate half day for leisure and swimming at your lodge. Have lunch, and after you will embark on a horse riding activity which is awesome and it will offer a great opportunity to spot many of Mburo’s wildlife species. Without the noise of the car engine, you will hear and bond with the nature. Riding on the horseback in Mburo will also give you an opportunity to bump into timid animals. If lucky, you might spot the leopards and the shy eland antelopes. Most grazer animals will try to come close to the horses. If time allows get to the higher altitudes of the park to view the beautiful Mburo landscape on this horseback.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Morning breakfast and head out for a nature walk in the Park with an escort of an armed game ranger. The nature walk will reward you with the best sights of birds, plant species, insects and animals at a closer view. Don't forget to carry you binoculars.

You will then get transferred back to Kampala or head to Entebbe airport to catch up with your late night flight.

We keep our group sizes low so that you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 15 travelers on a trip but the average is 10.

Travelers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for an air quote when making your booking.

To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits for most of our tours. Also, travellers with pre-existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire. Our Family Adventures are open to families with children aged between 5 and 17 years of age. Our standard (non-family) adventures are open to children aged 12 years or older when accompanied by a parent (max. two children per adult). The two-children-per-adult restriction does not apply to our Family adventures.
