This safari takes you for a rafting experience on the Nile (the longest river in the world) beautiful Sipi falls, tangled Kidepo jungles with arid savannahs, roaring rapids of Murchison falls, Ziwa rhinos, and Kibale forest chimpanzees, the rare tree climbing lions of Ishasha, the Gorillas and the golden monkeys. In just a few days you can see some of the world’s rarest creatures. A pure African safari in Uganda the land of the half of the world’s mountain gorillas.

Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will meet your safari guide who will break you on this entire program and then transfer you to a Kampala hotel for overnight.

Relax at Nexus, golf course hotel or Cassia lodge in Kampala.

After having your morning breakfast, you will hit the road, head east of Uganda, where your rafting begins on the river Nile. Enjoy a half day rafting; this will be the beginning of your African adventure. This activity will strain you but enjoyable, unforgettable and a life time experience.

Enjoy your lunch at the rafting camp and then proceed to Mbale for an overnight stay in Mbale courts view hotel or Mbale rosewood hotel. Dinner and overnight

After your breakfast, continue to Sipi falls, you will explore the 3 beautiful Sipi falls. Sipi falls is found on the foothill of mountain Elgon and at the edge of this special volcano. It has a series of three tall waterfalls all plunging along the lower slopes of Mt Elgon in Eastern Uganda. You will be walked by our knowledgeable site guide. After your lunch, you may opt to go for a coffee tour (optional). Sipi area also offers the best scenery for the lower karamojong plains plus a magnificent view of the sun set.

Check in at Sipi falls lodge or home of friends. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Today you will undertake an adventurous drive through the karamojong region as you head to Kidepo National Park. If you ever thought of being on a real African safari, then Kidepo is the perfect place to be. This national park is Uganda’s most unexplored reserve teeming with abundance of wildlife. You will enjoy the true moments of an African safari. On this drive, you will have an opportunity to see the true karamojong nomadic pastoralists as they look after their cattle and how they live in their manyatas.

Arrive in the evening to check in and relax at Adera lodge or savannah lodge. Dinner and overnight

After your morning breakfast you will embark on a morning game drive in the Narus valley, look out for the big four which are present and they include the lions, leopards, elephants and the buffalos. The grassy Narus valley is most reliable for the lions and the leopards, huge herds of buffalos and elephants. River Narus and River Kidepo are paramount in nourishing the wildlife and the natural habitat of this park. The Park is set against a backdrop of beautiful Mountain Morungule offering the best scenery of a true African gem. Zebras, giraffes, different antelope species and the cheetahs might be spotted on today’s morning game drive. You will head back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, proceed to experience a magical touch of the karamojong community, they will perform for you their cultural dance plus entertaining you and this will get you close to their ways of living.

At the end of the day you will return to your lodge to relax and enjoy your dinner and overnight.

After your morning breakfast, enjoy an early morning game drive in the Narus valley before transferring to Murchison Falls National Park through Gulu, hit the road and access the park through Porong gate. You will view great sceneries of this conserved area plus a remarkable number of different animal species as you drive towards the overnight stay lodge.

Check in at Pakuba safari lodge, Fort Murchison lodge or Para lodge. Dinner and overnight.

After your morning breakfast, you will hit the Savannah in search for more adventure. This park offers the best scenery for landscape and also the big 4. Today you will embark on a 3 hours game drive in to search for the big 4 which include the lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant. Other animals may include giraffes, hippos, kobs, heart beasts, warthogs, hyenas, jackals among others. After this amazing game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon boat cruise to the summit of the Murchison falls. The cruise on the river is indeed relaxing with a lot of animals sightings like the crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, the fish eagles, the king fishers, and lots of birds. A hike to the top of the falls is a must activity one shouldn't miss.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After your morning breakfast, head for Ziwa rhino sanctuary. This sanctuary is known for spotting white rhinos at a close range in the wild. You will enjoy a break at Kabalega resort for lunch and some refreshment. Continue with your Rhino trekking experience, the rhino is one of the big 5 animals and after your rhino tracking you will have completed the big 5 experience in Uganda.

Dinner and overnight at Amuka safari lodge.

Enjoy your morning breakfast and then drive to Kibale National Park, through Masindi, Hoima, Kyenjojo and Fort portal. You will have a stopover in Fort portal city to enjoy a hot lunch.

Today you won’t do much apart from checking in at turacco tree tops, Kibale forest camp or Chimpanzee forest lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Have a morning breakfast, and then head out for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. The highlights of this day are the chimpanzees in the wild. Chimpanzees are very intriguing animals; they will indeed brighten your day with amazing gestures that are almost similar to humans. Other primates like the grey-cheeked mangabey, olive baboons, L’Hoest monkey, red colobus alongside the black and white colobus can be spotted on today’s chimpanzee trek. After your trek, you will head back to your lodge for lunch. You will undertake a nature walk in Bigodi swamp after lunch. This swamp is an eco-tourist site specifically for bird watching. Over 200 various bird species have been recorded in this area. You will also spot other various primates and mammals on this walk.

Relax at your lodge, dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After breakfast, you will hit the road to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will drive through beautiful villages, with preferred stops to take photos in markets, plantations and the community. The park lies at the foothills of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon.” Check in and have lunch at Buffalo Safari lodge, Bush lodge or Tembo safari lodge. After relaxing, you will undertake an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that joins Lake George to Lake Edward. You will have a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, giant Forest hogs, among others. For the bird lovers, birds like, Papyrus Gonolek, malachite kingfishers, pelicans, sand pipers, African fish eagles, water thick-knee, and yellow-billed stork among others can be spotted. Don’t forget your camera. A short evening game drive will wind down the day with a chance to view some animal species in the open savannah of kasenyi.

Return to your lodge. Enjoy dinner and overnight.

Have your early breakfast and then enjoy a morning game drive through the kasenyi savannah, in search for the big four which include the lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. After this morning adventure, you will check out at your lodge with a packed lunch box and hit the road to Ishasha (southern sector of Queen Elizabeth Park) for the tree climbing lions. You will embark on an afternoon game drive through the ishasha plains to look out for the tree climbing lions; other animals like the topi, leopard, elephants, and buffaloes can be spotted on their trails as you drive.

Dinner and overnight at Enjojo safari lodge or jungle lodge.

After breakfast you will enjoy another game drive before proceeding to Bwindi Gorilla Park, driving through Bwindi forest is breath taking ,expect to view varies tree species and some monkeys on this drive.

Reach in the evening to check in at Bwindi view lodge, Bakiga lodge, Enganzi, Buhoma lodge or Buhoma community rest camp. Dinner and overnight.

Have breakfast and head to the briefing point where you will receive a briefing on the dos and don'ts for this gorilla trekking activity. Your ranger guide will lead and enter you in the Gorilla tracking zones for your adventure. Bwindi is a home of almost half of the world’s mountain gorillas and this offers 99% chances of sighting these great Apes in this area. A packed lunch box is recommended because the duration taken to locate the gorillas is unpredictable. You will be allowed a maximum of 1 hour of photography and observation when you meet the gorillas. Meeting the mountain gorillas will be the climax of this African dream safari and it will be the most exhilarating experience that will change everything wrong you knew about these African gentle giants.

Continue to kisoro town to check in at Lake Mutanda lodge, or traveller inn, spending the rest of the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, transfer to the Mgahinga park headquarters to get ready for golden monkey trekking. You will be briefed on the dos and don’ts during the golden monkey adventure. This activity will involve walking in the park with the help of a ranger guide. The time taken to find these monkeys varies due to their movements. It can take 30 minutes to 3 hours before spotting them and once spotted, a maximum of one hour will be given to you for observation.

(Don’t miss this adventurous activity which is only found in Uganda and Rwanda). Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi to relax, dinner and overnight.

After a relaxed breakfast, enjoy Bird watching and Lake Bunyonyi day tour. The boat cruise will take you to explore the different islands of Lake Bunyonyi as you spot some resident and migratory bird species. You will cruise to the different islands which include Punishment Island where Bakiga girls who became pregnant before marriage were taken and left to die. Other islands of Lake Bunyonyi include upside island, Akampene, Bushara, and Bucuraniko among others. Spend the afternoon with a zip lining activity across the lake at leisure.

Dinner at bunyonyi overland camp or Lake Bunyonyi safaris resort or rock resort.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park after a relaxed breakfast. Check in, have lunch at your lodge and relax. An evening game drive will be undertaken with expectations of spotting impalas, the gigantic elands, zebras, topis, bushbucks, kobs, cape buffaloes, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, among others.

Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight. Lodges to stay are Rwakobo rock, kigambira safari lodge, eagle’s nest or hyena hill.

After your breakfast, head out to the savannah with an armed ranger guide to enjoy a guided nature walk. This activity offers you a chance to get close to the nature. Check out at your lodge and drive back to Kampala or Entebbe airport so that you catch up with your late evening flight. A stopover will be made at kayabwe equator line for lunch and photography.

Arrive in Kampala late in the evening and you will be dropped off at a pre booked lodge in Entebbe or Kampala.

We keep our group sizes low so that you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 15 travelers on a trip but the average is 10.

Travelers arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices. We would be happy to help you arrange flights. Just ask for an air quote when making your booking.

To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits for most of our tours. Also, travellers with pre-existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire. Our Family Adventures are open to families with children aged between 5 and 17 years of age. Our standard (non-family) adventures are open to children aged 12 years or older when accompanied by a parent (max. two children per adult). The two-children-per-adult restriction does not apply to our Family adventures.
