The rhino is one of the big 5 animals.After your rhino tracking have lunch and transfer to Murchison falls National Park.
This park has alot of exiting attractions, today we shall drive through budongo Forest which is famous for chimpanzees tracking in Murchison falls N.P. Expect to spot some baboons and monkeys on this drive. Dinner and over night at Pakuba safari lodge, or Fort Murchison lodge.
After your morning breakfast, you will hit the Savannah in search for more adventure. This park offers the best scenery for landscape and also the big 4. Today you will embark on a 3 hours game drive in to search for the big 4 which include the lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant. Other big game include girrafes, hippos, kobs, hartbeazts, warthogs, hyenas, jackals will be spotted. Break off at the hippo pool to see the Hippos at a closer range in the river. After the morning game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch and afternoon boat cruise to the summit of the Murchison falls. The cruise on the river is so relaxing with alot of animals sightings like the crocdiles, Hippos, elephants, the fish eagles,the king fishers, and lots of birds. After your morning breakfast, head out to Kidepo national Park with an enroute lunch in Gulu town. Reach Kidepo valley national park in the evening. It is a unique park with fascinating landscapes ranging from mountains, valleys and Savannahs. Unique birds like the ostrich, secretary bird plus 460 different species can be spotted here. After your morning breakfast, drive to Kidepo Narus valley in search for the early morning predators (lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals) before they head back to their hideouts. Other animals like the giraffes, elephants, rock hyrax, buffaloes, Zebras will be spotted on this morning game drive. This park also contains a variety of antelopes which include the Topi, Uganda kobs, elands, water bucks, dikers and Bush backs.
A lunch break will be had at the lodge and after we shall head out to the community for a cultural tour. The IK and the karamojong tribes living near this park still seem to live behind civilization. These warrior like tribes still hold on to their ancient traditions and culture strongly and they are so similar to the Masai in Kenya and Tanzania. This tour will take you through their history/origin and how they associate. Enjoy and participate in their cultural dance and after head back to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight.
After your breakfast drive to Kanangorok to view the beautiful hot springs. A chance to see a remarkable number of ostriches on this drive. If you are lucky, you might spot the cheater resting under one of the savannah trees.
After your lunch, another evening game drive will be taken for another opportunity to view more game. Take time to see the game that we didn't spot previously. You will also have a chance to view some unique birds of this region since most are active at this time of the day. Birds like the rare karamojong apalis, black breasted barbet, superb Sterling, Egyptian vulture, pygmy falcon, verreaux's eagle might be spotted along this drive.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
After your morning breakfast you will head back to Kampala or get dropped off at the airport to catch up with your late evening flight. A lunch stop will be made on your way back.
